A redundant building at Mornington Crescent was to be re-utilised and brought back into service as a drivers access point. The building had sat redundant for many years and had been broken into and vandalized as well as having animal infestations.
Following site surveys it was realized that we had to deal with asbestos elements, pigeon faeces and a wasps nest. The team were required to wear full face masks as well as coverall suits before any work could commence.
The wasp nest was removed, the windows repaired to prevent further ingress by pigeons before the works could start in earnest.
The main electrical cabinets were inspected, checked and made safe before being protected by a temporary wall during the works.
Once the building had been cleared it was thoroughly cleaned using portable jet washers.
